Ride4Zoé (5th Edition)

I learnt about Zoé4Life’s work in June 2017. I was sitting in a paediatric oncology ward dealing with the news that my daughter Emily had cancer. When life was at its darkest, it was deeply affecting to know that there was an organisation out there that was fighting for families like mine.

When Emily received a tentative all clear a few days before childhood cancer awareness month in September 2019 it seemed like a good moment to give something back, so I cycled around Lake Geneva with a friend and raised CHF 4,000 for Zoé.

We repeated the ride in 2020, this time six of us did the full ride, and another five people (three adults, two kids) rode from Lausanne to Evian. Bouyed by our success we rode in 2021 and 2023 and have so far raised about CHF 20,000.

On Sunday, September 22nd, 2024 we are doing it again and are hoping that you will join us. So far we have three groups, all planning to leave at 6.30 from Château d’Ouchy. One group is going as far as Evian, another to Yvoire and another all around the lake.in about 9-10 hours.

You can start with us and cycle as far as you like. Or, organise your own ride when and where you like and do whatever distance you wish. It doesn’t matter if you ride to the end of the garden, or 200 kms, the most important thing is to ask people to sponsor your effort and raise funds for this fantastic charity.

You can find out more about the ride and how to get involved on these pages – and don’t forget to contact me if you have any questions.
