The Route

Ride Around the Lake (Route 1)
The route around Lake Geneva is mainly flat. We’ll fstart at 6.30 and follow the lake road out of Lausanne before joining the National Cycle Route 9 from Vevey to St. Gingolph. From there we’ll take the European Route 17, which avoids a lot of traffic (but not the cobblestones at Thonon!) before getting back on the lake road at Geneva for the long cycle home.

We plan to ride together to the Le Fleur du pain at Vevey for breakfast. We always stop and wait for slower riders.

Ride to Evian or Yvoire
Another group of riders will leave from Lausanne and ride 60 kilometers to Evian, or about 90 kilometers to Yvoire before taking the boat back. This ride will start at 6.30 and might appeal to people who want to go at a slower pace or with teenagers who may not make it around the whole lake.
